Korian is the largest private provider of elderly care in our country. They offer a solution for every care need, both in residential elderly care and for people who need support at home. They accomplish the latter by offering home care, domestic help, maternity care and full turnaround. Korian was the first in senior care to achieve the prestigious “Top Employer 2023” certification.

The expectations of residents and their loved ones have evolved over the years. They demand more autonomy and more flexibility in services. Also, an increase in the severity of care in the homes is being observed. This is against a background of tight labor markets and employees who also expect more autonomy and flexibility from their employer in their areas. As a trendsetter and initiator in elderly care, Korian asked us, together with the social partners, to devise and implement a new organizational model for the future in response to these challenges.
OUR APPROACH
In the first phase of the project, the outlines of this future organizational model were worked out through constructive interdisciplinary consultation between directors, management, employees and representatives of the various social partners.
In a second phase, tailored support was offered to the houses that were translating the new model into their own operations. This consisted in offering guidance to board members and (coordination) teams but also in guiding and facilitating team meetings. If necessary, (inter)personal coaching conversations were held.
